- MTV Rocks - " 24-hour alternative music channel operated by Viacom International Media Networks Europe." The channel concentrates on providing a place for new music and upcoming artists in the areas of rock, punk, indie, metal and similar genres. This channel also has an event called 'Gonzo on tour' which introduces upcoming bands to mtv audiences.
- Q - a UK music channel based on Q Magazine, launched on 2 October 2000. It is operated by Box Television, and specialises in indie, rock and alternative. Box television is a subsdiary of The Channel 4 Cooperation and therefore this conglomerate could be used to promote the band on the '4music presents' or 'music on 4'. Also the advert for the digipack could be in Q magazine. There is also Q radio which could publicise the band and play their music.
If the bands song gets into the charts then they are likely to be on other channels such as:
- MTV Hits
- 4Music
- Chart Show TV
- Viva
All of the above cater to more mainstream music and have charts showing the UK top 40 songs and so if the band made it into the top 40, they would also be performing their music on these channels.
