After looking through many digipaks certain conventions have become clear:
vThe image on the front of the album either links to the title of the album, has an image of the artist on or portrays the artists values.

The Black Keys front cover links to the name of the album with ‘el camino’ meaning ‘the road’ in spanish and shows a car (which is also an El Camino car) on a road in what seems to be a deserted area. The brown colour scheme is kept throughout the digipak.
The Sex Pistols are a key example of an artist representing their values. This was created in the punk era and the sex pistols stood for going against the norm and rebelling. Swearing was a form of rebellion the title also connotates all other music is ‘bollocks’ compared to theirs. The typography of the tracklisting is like a ransom note connotating mainstream music has been taken hostage by this punk band.
