Advert Plan and mock up

So when it came to planning the Magazine advert, i realised there wasn't a lot i could do.
I decided to use the same image from my album front cover for the advert too as this is a big convention and one i would like to stick to. Also, it means that the audience will know what to look for in a shop when looking for the cd.

I also decided to use reviews, promote a gig (hello convention developement!) and have the record label logo in the corner of the ad. oh and a blip code that would take the audience with a smart phones to exclusive content!

Finally, i wanted to take the idea from noel gallagher's high flying birds advertisement and have a black border around the image so that the writing can be seen more clearly, however if when i take the picture and edit it, it is possible to see the writting without having to use a border then i will do that instead.

so for now, here is a basic mock up of what my magazine article may look like. It was done on paint, and at the best of times i'm a rubbish drawer so this is pretty feeble, but it just gives me something to go off.
